RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Taking stern action over co-authoring controversial book, Pakistan Army has initiated inquiring against Gen (retd) Asad Durrani whereas competent authority has been approached to replace Durrani’s name on Exit Control List.

The updates were shared by Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major Gen Asif Ghafoor via popular microblogging website Twitter.

“Lt Gen Asad Durrani, Retired was called at GHQ today to explain his position on recently launched book ‘Spy Chronicles’. A formal Court of Inquiry headed by a serving Lt Gen has been ordered to probe the matter in detail. Competent authority approached to place his name on ECL”, read the official statement.  

The book which has been styled as a conversation between two spymasters covers a wide range of subjects including NSA Ajit Doval’s way of functioning, the Kashmir issue and several thorny issues between India and Pakistan including Kulbhushan Jadhav, Balochistan and surgical strikes.

As per latest details, Durrani s name has been placed on ECL.
