PM Abbasi summons NSC meeting today
Matters pertaining to national and border security and situation in the region will be discussed.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has summoned the meeting of National Security Committee (NSC) today (Saturday) in PM House Islamabad.
The meeting will be attended by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Army Chief General Qamr Javed Bajwa, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi, heads and representatives of intelligence institutions.
Matters pertaining to national and border security, situation in the region, development and success in Operation Raddul Fassad will be discussed in the meeting.
The participants will also review the Indian aggression on Line of Control (LoC) and condition of occupied Kashmir.
Moreover, briefing will be provided over the recent terror attacks in the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that this will be second meeting of NSC in the same week. The first was held over the controversial remarks of PML-N supreme leader about the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The meeting reviewed the recent statement in the context of Mumbai attacks, as it appeared in the newspaper, and unanimously termed statement of Nawaz Sharif as incorrect and misleading.
