SC directs PIA CEO to submit performance report till 4pm

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court on Saturday directed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines Musharraf Rasool to submit the performance report till 4pm.

“It has come to our knowledge that PIA employees have not been paid their salaries. You should be ashamed of this. Have you received your wages? Your salary mustt be more than Rs2 million. Why are you not paying to the poor? Submit the performance report of PIA,” the CJP remarked sternly.

Air Blue’s Managing Director Junaid Khan also appeared before the court. The CJP inquired about the CEO of the company.

“The court should also be told about the number of pilots the company have,” added the CJP.

The court also expressed resentment over delay in the verification of degrees of pilots and announced a fine of Rs50,000. “Why the degrees have not been verified yet?” Chief Justice asked.

He also clarified that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has not been summoned by the court.
