Pakistan fought war on terror indiscriminately: COAS

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday Pakistan has fought against menace of terrorism indiscriminately and shall root it out through whole of the nation approach.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS after reaching Quetta addressed the participants of Second National Security Workshop Balochistan which was organized by Southern Command in collaboration with Government of Balochistan.
Highlighting internal and external challenges, he said that full spectrum of threat demands comprehensive national response, adding that the Army was fully engaged in enabling that response in coordination with other institutions of the state.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the terrorists have no religion, sect or ethnicity and the terrorism will be eliminated from the country with the support of the nation.
The COAS said that comprehensive national narrative was very imperative to fight against threats and Pakistan Army was in contact with state institutions for an effective strategy against terrorism.
Earlier, the Army Chief visited Corps Headquarters in Karachi. The COAS said that efforts to restore peace in Karachi should continue.
He also appreciated the role of law enforcement agencies including Sindh Rangers for bringing back peace and security to Karachi and reviving economic activity.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also given briefing on security situation of the province.
