Faisalabad bar association stages protest against police, boycotts courts

FAISLABAD (Dunya News) – Bar association in Faisalabad held protest against police for lodging case over torturing security officers in Faisalabad.
According to details, the lawyers blocked Zila council chowk for traffic and chanted slogans against the policemen. They also boycotted court proceedings in protest against CPO Faisalabad and SHO Dijkot.
Meanwhile, the officers filed a terror attack case against the lawyers that sparked protest.
Few days before SHO Malik Waris was arrested in a case to give bribe to the lawyer’s brother and was taken to the court. There, police officers were also tortured.
On the other hand, Sindh High Court bar (SHC) also boycotted the court proceedings as a protest against lawyer’s brother kidnapping.
