Imran hails judiciary in talks with UK lawmakers

America has no right to blame Pakistan for its failures.

LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday said that for the first time in the history Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is backing the democracy in the country.

Addressing the British parliamentarians on Monday, he said that it was also historic juncture that the judiciary has been playing its constitutional role independently.

Commenting on the Kashmir dispute, he said that the Britain can play a major role in resolving Kashmir dispute but said that the no headway is possible in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking about Pak-US relations, Khan said that declaring US-Pakistan relation smooth is impossible, adding that Washington is a superpower but it has understand Pakistan’s view point.

“America has no right to blame Pakistan for its failures in Afghanistan,” he said and added the relation with the US should be based mutual respect.

The PTI chairman went on to say that Pakistan is moving fast towards progress and stability. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif victimised his political opponents through judges loyal to him.

Khan said that spending resources on human development is very important, adding that a lot of work is needed to be done in education.

He said that the PTI would kick start the election campaign from the party’s rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29.
