Islamabad (Dunya News) – The federal government on Friday refused to supply gas to K-Electric until the payment of dues.

Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari said that instead of stagging a sit-in Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah should stop power theft.

He said that they would not be blackmailed, adding that the K-Electric will have to pay dues. The Sindh government will have to take step to resolve the issue, he added.

Leghari went on to say that Sui Southern was of the view that KE has an outstanding amount of Rs70 billion to pay, while the KE claims provincial government departments have to pay billions of rupees.
