Two killed, 12 injured as rain lashes parts of Punjab, KP
At least two people were killed in rain related incidents in different parts of the country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - At least two people were killed and 12 other were wounded as rain with strong winds lashed different cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
An 11-year-old girl was killed and 10 other people were wounded when roofs of two houses collapsed in Sheikhupura due to rain and gusty winds.
The rain brought the mercury down considerably. Hundreds of feeders tripped in several cities due to rain and most areas are still without electricity.
The rain was reported in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Manchanabad, Darya Khan, Bhalwal, Khushab, Attock, Chakwal, Tank, Karak and Umar Kot.
The Met Office has predicted more rain at scattered places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and upper Sindh.
