Police has asked the government to declare the nationals 'undesirable'.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Khanewal police on Saturday recommended the government to deport five Chinese workers who thrashed the security personnel.

The incident occurred on April 4 when the Chinese engineers and other staffers, engaged in the construction of M4 Motorway from Bahawalpur to Faisalabad, attacked the policemen deployed on their security for not allowing them to leave without security personnel.

Several videos of the incident made rounds on social media showing the Chinese workers beating the personnel of Special Protection Unit (SPU) while one of them stood on the bonnet of a police vehicle.

Police after conducting an inquiry into the matter has asked the government to declare the nationals ‘undesirable’ and deport them.

Khanewal District Police Officer (DPO) Rizwan Umer Gondal told BBC that five of the Chinese nationals including company’s country project manager You Libing have been found responsible of the incident.

He told that they have proposed action against a Chinese national for snatching mobile phone from a policeman named Shehbaz.
