Italian Naval Chief lauds Pakistan's achievements in war on terror
ISPR said Italian Naval Chief Admiral Valter Girardelli called on Gen Bajwa on Wednesday
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Italian Naval Chief Admiral Valter Girardelli on Wednesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, regional security issues and matter of professional interest were discussed, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The visiting dignitary acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism and efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region.
Admiral Valter Girardelli also pledged to keep working for better ties between the two countries.
On Tuesday, Gen Bajwa chaired the 209th Corps Commanders Conference where both internal and external security environment came under discussion. The military leadership overviewed the ongoing anti-terrorism operations.
Also, the military leadership discussed peace process and stability in Balochistan, and exchanged opinion on the Khushal Balochistan program.
“The forum discussed internal and external security environment and progress of ongoing operations including Khushal Balochistan program. Forum pledged to carry forward the achieved successes to enduring peace and stability in the country,” ISPR release said.
