ECP directs PML-N to submit reply in foreign funding case today

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Election Commission while directing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to submit reply in the forign party funding case today (Tuesday) adjourned the hearing till March 6.

A four-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan conducted hearing of the case.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawyer advocate Faisal Chaudhry appeared before ECP however; PML-N’s lawyer Jahangir Jadoon failed to attend the hearing.

Commission member Irshad Qaiser inquired about PML-N’s reply in the case.

PTI lawyer replied that the reply submitted previously is not correct. He argued that verbal statement is not enough therefore PML-N should submit a written reply.

PML-N’s junior lawyer requested the court to adjourn the hearing responding to which the court ordered him to submit reply in the case today and suspended the proceedings.
