ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the date for local government elections in Islamabad.
According to the Election Commission, local government elections in Islamabad will be held on 15 February. Polling will take place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Election Commission stated that Returning Officers will display the public notice for nomination papers on 19 December, while nomination papers can be submitted from 22 December to 27 December.

Under the election schedule, scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from 30 December to 3 January 2026. Appeals may be filed from 5 to 8 January 2026, and tribunals will decide the appeals from 9 to 13 January.
The Election Commission added that the last date to withdraw nomination papers is 15 January 2026. The final list of candidates will be published on 16 January, and election symbols will also be allotted on the same day.
According to the schedule, polling for Islamabad’s local government elections will be held on 15 February, while results will be compiled from 16 to 19 February.
