Marc Grossman meets Salman Bashir, discusses immunity for Davis

Special US representative Marc Grossman met with Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir on Monday and discussed the issue of diplomatic immunity for US national Raymond Davis, who had killed two people in Lahore

In the meeting, progress on the strategic Pak - US dialogue and bilateral relations were also discussed. Grossman stated that Davis was an American diplomat and should be released.Grossman was appointed as a special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan after the death of former US representative, Richard Holbrooke. This is Grossman’s first official visit to Pakistan.
