'The political confrontation in the country is at its peak'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday has said that the voice will be raised if institutions violate constitution and law and emphasized that vote’s decision should be upheld above all.

Speaking to the media after PML-N meeting in Sindh, Saad Rafique declared that they will hold workers convention in every district of Karachi.

Responding to a question regarding Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, the railways minister said that verdicts should be honored regardless if they are liked or not and added that elections should be held on time as the political confrontation in the country is at its peak.

The PML-N leader further said that the ‘custom of conspiring behind closed doors’ should come to an end and the chief executive of the country should have the absolute unhindered authority after he is elected and should not be interfered with so as not to hinder the country’s progress.

He also stressed that we should not cross each other’s red lines. Rafique continued that the country was broken in half on this day but the policymakers did not learn from their mistakes but added that it’s never too late for learning from our mistakes and working together.
