Decisions regarding regional security taken in corps commanders conference
COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired the corps commanders conference on Tuesday at GHQ
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday chaired the corps commanders conference at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Important decisions were taken regarding the regional security. The members also discussed security challenges faced by the country.
Gen Bajwa took the commanders into interest regarding military diplomacy while they exchanged views about the relationship with neighbouring states.
Matters like internal security, stability, relationship with Afghanistan and more came into discussion. The conference members decided to pursue the steps for establishment of peace in Afghanistan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Bajwa told about his foreign tours as well as his meetings with the international officials. The conference overviewed Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, regional security, welfare programmes for Balochistan, national integrity and matters regarding Afghan security.
They decided to continue efforts for Afghan peace.
