(Web Desk) – A three-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh upheld the decision to make the Model Town judicial inquiry report public.
The court dismissed the appeals filed by the Punjab government against the release and ordered to make public the report of Justice Baqir Najafi Commission within 30 days.
Following this the Model Town report was made public. The Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah held a press conference on Tuesday evening claiming that the report was inconclusive and incomplete, according to Dunya News. Sanaullah stated that the report was earlier not made public due to these concerns. “There are legal flaws in the report. It cannot be presented as evidence. No police official was declared responsible in the report,” Sanaullah was reported as saying by Dunya News.
