One killed in firing outside ex-Interior Minister Nisar's residence
The incident occurred in Rawalpindi where unknown persons opened fire on vehicle
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – At least one person was killed in a firing incident outside the residence of ex-Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Sources told that unknown persons opened fire at a vehicle and broke its windshield. The person was killed as a result of operation against protestors, rescue officials told. According to inputs, violent demonstrators even targeted the residence of Nisar by pelting stones. Luckily, no loss of life or property was reported thus far.
Protestors set fire near Nisar’s residence at a furniture storage. Rescue teams instantly arrived at the spot and tried to extinguish the fire. Sources told that not a single policeman of Rawalpindi police was present on Murree Road.

The Metro Bus station and surrounding areas in Rawalpindi remained under control of the protestors. The absence of law enforcement officers at the various stations made the situation out of hand.
Protests broke out countrywide after Interior Ministry ordered police, Rangers and FC personnel to conduct operation against Faizabad sit-in. A policeman lost his life while more than 100 people sustained severe wounds during the operation on early Saturday morning after the deadline given by the local administration to clear the main road expired at midnight.
