A few lawmakers used Khatm-e-Nabuwwat issue for political gains: Ahsan Iqbal
Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) is a unanimous belief of the entire Muslim Ummah.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior minister Ahsan Iqbal has complained on Saturday that a few lawmakers used issue over Khatm-e-Nabuwwat for political scoring.
The federal minister addressed a ceremony in Islamabad and during his speech, he said that a few politicians used the issue over finality of Prophethood clause pertaining to Elections Act 2017 for their political gains.
He said that Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (PBUH) is a unanimous belief of the entire Muslim Ummah.
Iqbal claimed that the government and the state survived a vicious conspiracy recently that aimed at spreading anarchy misusing the religion. Muslims are killing their ‘brothers’ in Libya owing to chaos while in Iraq the government is dependent on foreign aid to maintain peace.
The interior minister also said that a coup attempt was foiled by the people in Turkey. There have been a civil war in Turkey had the coup attempt succeeded, he added.
While talking about Afghanistan, Ahsan Iqbal said that the neighbouring state is withstanding civil war for the past 35 years and that armed forces of international powers have their camps there whilst Muslims are fighting one another.
The federal minister said that Muslims in Burma, Kashmir and Palestine are fighting for separate homelands but no foreign power in paying heed to the sensitivity of individual situation.
He said that enemies do not want the only atomic power amongst Muslim countries, Pakistan to become an economic power. He recalled that Indian government has categorically stated that it would not let China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) succeed.
India cannot dispatch troops to Pakistan to harm CPEC, he said adding that disturbance of peace would cost Pakistan the historic corridor project with China. Enemies wish to achieve weaker peace and stability in Pakistan by having Pakistanis fight one another.
