Pakistan Railways e-ticketing system makes annual sale record

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan Railways has made a record of selling tickets worth Rs1 million annually through its e-ticketing system.
According to details, the daily sale of tickets via railways website and app has reached Rs1 crore.
The is the first time in railways history of more than 125 years that over 10 lac duplicate tickets have been issued till date.
The facility was introduced in 2007 but discontinued after some months. However; Pakistan Railways relaunched the e-ticketing regime last year to enable passengers to get their seats reserved while remaining at home or at workplace.
