Foundation of sustainable development laid in country despite constraints: PM

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that despite constraints, foundation of sustainable development has been laid in the country, reported Radio Pakistan.

He was addressing Engineers Convention organized by Pakistan Engineering Council in Islamabad on Thursday.

He said infrastructure including power plants and road projects have been completed keeping in view the future requirements of the country.

The Prime Minister reminded that when the present government assumed office, industries and the CNG were closed due to non-supply of power to them.

He said we have addressed the energy issues by importing gas and adding ten thousand megawatt of power to the system in a matter of four years.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the present government also completed projects which were started by the previous governments including that Neelum Jhelum, Lowari Tunnel, Kachi Canal and Nandipur Power Plant.
