PPP held rallies in Larkana, Kashmore and Multan, demanded reversal of petroleum prices

LARKANA, MULTAN, KASHMORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Sunday held rallies in various cities including Larkana, Multan and Kashmore against petroleum products price hike, reported Dunya News.

PPP workers raised slogans on this occasion rejecting the recent price hike. They gathered in Multan to protest against the price hike and also raised slogans in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Baagh.

In Vehari as well, PPP workers took to the roads and staged a sit-in. The ladies wing of the party held protest in Sukkur. In Faisalabad, they blocked University Road for traffic, causing problems for the common people.

The workers also held protests in Kashmore and Larkana to raise their voice against the inflation, government policies and the petroleum price hike. Ladies showed up in large numbers at the protest in Larkana, raising slogans against the federal government.

PPP also held protests in other cities of the country.

Asif Ali Zardari said that the government is creating difficulties for the people instead of providing them relief. The price hike will cause more inflation in the country, therefore, this decision should be withdrawn, he demanded.

Co-chairman of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) further declared government’s policies regarding economy as enemy of poverty-stricken people.

On the other hand, diesel price has gone up by Rs 5.19/liter, petrol by Rs 2.49 while Kerosene oil cost has been raised by Rs 5 after the notification.
