Maryam, Safdar to appear before accountability court today
An accountability court hearing NAB references is likely to indict Nawaz, Maryam, Safdar today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Nawaz Sharif, and her husband, Captain (retd) Safdar, will be indicted today (Thursday) by an accountability court, hearing the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) references against the Sharif family.
Nawaz Sharif, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz are nominated suspects in references regarding Park Lane apartments, Al Azizia Steel Mills and offshore companies, while Maryam Nawaz and her husband Capt (retd) Safdar are nominated in reference regarding Park Lane apartments alone.
NAB will submit a report in regard to declaring Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz as proclaimed offenders while the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in also expected to be indicted today despite the fact that he is out of the country.
On the other hand, accountability court Judge Muhammad Bashir while replying to Deputy Commissioner letter has imposed ban on entry of unauthorized persons in the court premises.
Tight security arrangements have been made for today’s hearing. At least 800 police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel would be deployed security duties.
