Nationwide operations to counter terrorism underway as security agencies arrested one suicide bomber

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Security forces have carried out nationwide raids to crackdown terrorist hideouts under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Four dangerous terrorists were killed while one suicide bomber arrested. Law enforcement agencies including police, Rangers and secret agencies conducted operations in different cities. 24 suspects were taken into custody for interrogation.

They killed terrorists belonged to banned terror outfit in Balochistan. A heavy cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorist leaders who had committed several crimes in fast including kidnapping for ransom and attacks.

Thango and Keleri, BRA leaders killed in raids, hailed from Chabdar and Dera Bugti respectively. They were involved in abduction of civilians, attack on law enforcement agencies.

Muhammad Khan and Jalal Deen of UBA from Kut Mundai, Sibbi, were involved in railway line blasts, planting IEDs and destroying power lines.

24 suspects, including a suicide bomber Sami Ullah belonging to Dera Murad Jamali of LeJ, were apprehended during the operations in various cities. During the operations FC recovered LMGs, SMGs, Rifles, Pistols, IEDs, 16 kg explosives, hand grenades, rockets, mortar shell and 15032 rounds of mixed caliber ammunition.
