Federal Minister for Railways tweeted that now party heads cannot be dethroned without consent

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Reacting to the approval of Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 in Senate, Saad Rafique made it clear that Nawaz Sharif will stay as the party president of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The federal minister for Pakistan Railways took to Twitter on Friday saying the ex-PM will be reinstated as party head after the legislation. He thanked MQM-P s Farooq Sattar, FATA Senators, Akhtar Mengal, Zulfiqar Ali Khosa and others who sided with the PML-N in the all-important reforms bill.

He implied that the conspiracy to oust Nawaz Sharif from politics had again failed after PML-N victory in NA-120 by-election. "Party heads cannot be forced out without the consent of political parties," he told.

While taunting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Saad Rafique mentioned that the same law, which will be used to restore Nawaz Sharif as party head, will also help to save Imran Khan. He slammed both PTI and PPP for acting against their will. They are falling into their own trap, he added.
