Traffic moving between the federal capital and Murree in trouble

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Taxi-hailing online services are putting cabbies out of business and a protest rally was conducted on Sunday at Rawal Dam Chowk calling to ban Careem and Uber among others.

Taxi union resorted to the protest putting all the traffic moving between the federal capital and Murree in trouble as roads were blocked.
The protesters demanded the government to move against online taxi-hailing services.




Reportedly, one of the vehicles registered with one of the online service providers in Pakistan was circled by a mob of protesters and vandalised.

However, police rescued the driver and detained the culprits.
