Lahore: 4 terrorists killed in encounter with CTD
Four terrorists of banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with CTD near Sagian Pull in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least four terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in encounter with Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel near Sagian Pull in Lahore, hours after a truck bomb explosion that ripped through rhe Bund Road area on Monday night, Dunya News reported.
The CTD set up a check post near Sagian Pull on an intelligence report that six to seven terrorists of banned outfit will enter Lahore from Sheikhupura. When the CTD personnel asked a vehicle to stop at the check post, the terrorists present in the vehicle opened fire. The CTD personnel returned the fire as a result four terrorists were killed while three other managed to escape.
The CTD personnel also recovered huge quantity of arms and explosive material from the dead terrorists. According to a CTD spokesperson, the aim of the terrorists was to attack Police Lines in Lahore.
