Heavy rain lashes parts of country
Landsliding due to heavy rains causes loss of 7 lives and severe damage across Pakistan
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The spell of heavy rain-fall affected different areas of the country through out the week.
The natural disaster caused severe damage to property and road networks.
The rooftops of houses fell in Tarnol (Islamabad), which claimed three lives. Under similar circumstance in Renala Khurd (Okara), a woman died and a child was severely injured.
In Jhelum, a man lost his life and 4 others were injured. A five year old girl, tragically, drowned in a river near Hassan Abdal. Due to negligence of local authourities in Gujranwala, some areas have become paralysed in terms of movement.
Similar situation arose in Fateh Jang, Pasrur and Daska.
The roads were flooded in Charsadda, Shabqadar and Tungi due to rainfall throughout the night, which impeded the level of activity.
In Bannu, 7 houses were leveled to the ground due to the flood impact, which also resulted in loss of a life. The rise of water level In Nakyal area of Azad Kashmir and heavy rainfall led to landslides in the area.
