Panamagate judgment to shape future of Pakistan: PTI's Qureshi
He was talking to media outside SC.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday said that Panamagate judgment would quantify future of Pakistan as nation wants to know whether it would get rid of corrupt mafia or not.
He was talking to media outside SC.
“An independent, fair and transparent Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is a must for fortifying democratic norms and we must practice tradition of fair elections for strengthening the flourishing democracy,” added Qureshi.
“It is need of the hour that apex court’s judgment should cement institutions. Members of joint investigation team displayed unrivalled courage as no one was anticipating such a report. Naked threats were issued to JIT members but they established a new precedent,” professed Qureshi.
Qureshi said today’s verdict will decide whether politics is worship or it is a business.
Qureshi claimed that Imran Khan tops popularity charts as nation trusts him.
While responding to a question that whether ruling party would accept SC’s decision or not, Qureshi replied they have to as there exists no other choice.
