Another oil tanker overturns in Sheikhupura
The power of more than 100 villages has been cut due to the collision.
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – Another incident of overturning of oil tanker has Saturday taken place in Sheikhupura when the tanker turned turtle due to a collision with an electric poll.
After the incident, another tanker was called to the incident spot to shift the petrol in it. Rescue teams and fire tenders also reached the accident place. Owing to the crash with electric poll, the power of more than 100 villages has been cut as well.
After the tragic incident in Ahmadpur Sharqia, which killed more than two hundred persons when an explosion took place while people were scavenging for fuel from an overturned oil tanker, the tanker accidents have increased rapidly raising concerns among the people.
Tankers have upturned in road accidents in Vehari, Nooriabad, Karak, Attock and Nawabshah resulting in spilling of thousands of liters of fuel after Ahmadpur Sharqia occurrence.
