Army Chief arrives in Parachinar to meet blast victims' families, tribal elders

PARACHINAR (Dunya News) – Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Parachinar on Friday to meet the tribal elders and relatives of the deceased killed in the twin blasts.

According to ISPR, army chief will also be briefed on peace and stability situation in the country.

His visit was postponed two days before due to bad weather conditions in the upper region.

Army Chief was to spend the second day of Eid on Tuesday in Parachinar to express solidarity with the victims of the latest terrorist attack in the tribal areas where at least 72 people were killed due to market area twin blasts. Many of these victims have been laid to rest.

However, a large number of the victims are under medical treatment. The injured people were transferred to developed medical facilities through rescue operations by the armed forces and other organizations.
