Layyah: Abducted youth recovered, 5 kidnappers arrested
Police arrested five kidnappers and recovered youth abducted from Karor Lal Essan near Layyah.
LAYYAH (Dunya News) – According to details, 18-year-old Azmir Shah who is the son of a local lady doctor was abducted by kidnappers from Karor Lal Essan near Layyah.
The family of the youth informed police who conducted a surrounded the culprits. The kidnappers opened fire at the police party. Police also fired back and the exchange of fire between police and kidnappers continued for six hours after which police apprehended the kidnappers and rescued Azmir Shah.
Police sources said that the kidnappers had demanded ransom money from the family of the abducted youth. A former cop who was sent on forced retirement was among the arrested kidnappers.
