Khawaja Asif terms Nehal Hashmi's statement deplorable
The minister said it is the result of the struggle of PML-N that judiciary has been strengthened.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said that the statement of Nehal Hashmi is condemnable and the party has taken appropriate action against his move.
During his speech in National Assembly, Khawaja Asif told the House that Nehal Hashmi’s party membership has been cancelled and he has also resigned from the seat of Senate.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) believes in the superiority of the state institutions and that we have sacrificed a lot for judiciary.
The minister said it is the result of the struggle of PML-N that judiciary has been strengthened in the country.
He further reiterated that it is collective responsibility of both the government and opposition to work for strengthening the state institutions under the constitutional mandate available to us.
