Never done anything illegal, claims Imran Khan

Dunya News

Disqualification small price to rid Pakistan of corruption mafia, Imran Khan said.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While confidently responding to the ineligibility case that is under hearing in Supreme Court (SC), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan claimed that he has neither done anything illegal nor has been served a tax notice.

In a chain of tweets, Khan challenged that whether Supreme Court (SC) probes or constitutes Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in his case, they will come to only one conclusion.

Disclosing his asset, PTI chief said that he purchased London flat from taxed legit cricket earnings in 1983, sold it in 2003 while brought funds back through legit banking channels.

Paid for purchase of Bani Gala property from these earned funds remitted back to Pakistan, he added.

Imran Khan stated that he was taxpayer in United Kingdom for 20 year and he is a taxpayer in Pakistan since 1981.

He said that if he gets disqualified while playing with fire to rid Pakistan of corruption mafias’ ‘God Father’ then it will be a small price to pay.

Talking about the JIT proceedings over Panama Leaks case, Imran Khan predicts that the team will find Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif guilty of tax evasion, money laundering and perjury (Qatari letter).
