Tharparkar: 31 recovered from landlords prison

On Court order, 31 members of a same family were recovered from the personal prison of a landlord. These people were imprisoned because they demanded their due share in the crop.

On Court order, 31 persons of a same family were recovered from the personal prison of a landlord in Dehro area of Tharparkar.According to details, a local landlord Sharif Shahani hired Ram Ji and his family to work on his land. After getting two-years work from them he promised to give them a due share in crop he made them work for one more year. When the workers asked for their share in the crop, Sharif put them in his personal jail. Two persons of the family ran away from there and reached Hyderabad and filed a petition in High Court.On the court order, the police 31 members of Ramji’s family including children and aged .persons and produced them before the court.
