PM presides over CCI meeting to review 12-point agenda
The meeting is being attended by the provincial chief ministers and others.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The 31st meeting of Council of Common Interests (CCI) chaired by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is underway in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to discuss12-point agenda.
During the the meeting, matters pertaining to distribution of gas and other natural resources amongst the provinces as well as the proposed national LNG policy will also be discussed.
Officials of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics would give a progress report on the ongoing census exercise under which the first phase of census has been accomplished while the second phase is underway in 87 selected districts.
Implementation of the decisions taken in yesterday’s meeting would be reviewed whereas a thorough debate would be carried out on the plan related to protection from natural disasters.
The meeting is being attended by the provincial chief ministers, Federal Ministers for Finance, Water and Power, SAFRON, Planning, Petroleum, Overseas Pakistanis, Religious Affairs, Defence Production and Climate Change.
