International media gives wide-scale coverage to #PanamaVerdict
The center point of all discussions remained that Nawaz Sharif survived corruption ruling
(Web Desk) – Supreme Court (SC) ordered Thursday to constitute a joint investigation team (JIT) in Panama Papers case.
Two out of five judges declared Nawaz Sharif "dishonest" and voted in favour of his disqualification. This decision was outnumbered by three to two as the five-member bench agreed to form JIT within seven days, and present report within 60 days.
International media gave wide-scale coverage to the Panamagate case. Indian organizations as well as the western channels provided their insights on the highly anticipated verdict.
It must be mentioned here that according to the court ruling, PM Nawaz and his children have to appear before a JIT, comprising of the members of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Military Intelligence (MI).
