SC's decision respectful, will submit innocence proofs in JIT: PM Nawaz

The premier said that he will submit his proofs of innocence before JIT.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan announced to constitute joint investigation team (JIT) in its verdict of Panama Leaks case, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that he completely respects the court’s decision.

The premier said that he had submitted his proofs of innocence before the courts earlier, and will do the same in JIT.

It is pertinent here to mention that the JIT team will include officials of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), State Bank of Pakistan, Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence and will be headed by a director-general level FIA officer.

The SC bench further directed to form JIT within seven days, and present report within 60 days.
