PPP Core Committee to discuss Cabinet reshuffling today
It is expected that the government may dissolve the federal cabinet and announce new cabinet in the coming days. And the final decision might be made in the PPP core committee meeting. PPPs core committee meeting would be held under the chairmanship of PPP Co-Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at the Presidency today. According to sources, decision on reshuffling the Federal Cabinet is expected in the meeting and a new 17-18 member Cabinet would be announced within 24 hours. Secretary Cabinet has been especially invited in the meeting. In the new Cabinet, Makhdoom Amin Faheem, Naveed Qamar, Khursheed Shah, Dr. Hafeez Sheikh and Abdul Qadir Patel might be made ministers. From Punjab, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Babar Awan, Rehman Malik, Amhed Mukhtar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Hina Rabbani Khar and Raja Pervaiz Ashrafs names are under review. From Balochistan, Ayatullah Durrani and Asima Arbab Alamgir from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to get minister-ship. Haji Khuda Bakhsh Rajar of Muslim League Functional, Ghulam Muhammad Bilaur of ANP and Hameedullah Jan Afridi from FATA may get ministership. MQM has announced to stay away from the new Cabinet.
