Five terrorists linked to RAW, NDS arrested in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In a major achievement in ongoing operation Raddul Fasaad, the law enforcement personnel have arrested five terrorists who were operating networks of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analaysis Wing (RAW) and Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS) in Karachi and Balochistan.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi on Wednesday, Colonel Qaisar revealed that apprehended terrorists, belonging to Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Daesh (also known as Islamic State), had joined hands with RAW and NDS to run their networks in Pakistan.

Tahir Zaman alias Faisal Mota, Muhammad Nawaz, Bilal Ahmed alias Kashif, Muhammad Farhan Siddiqui and Dar Muhammad Mashhadi were trained in Afghanistan, he added.

He further revealed that information regarding sensitive installations, suicide jackets, hand grenades, SMGs and other heavy weapons were recovered from possession of the terrorists.



Colonel Qaisar conveyed a clear message that paramilitary Rangers will continue operation till full restoration of peace and individuals or groups involved criminal activities won’t be spared.

Moreover, he appealed citizens of Karachi to help Rangers identify negative elements in the city.

Operation Raddul Fasaad, launched in February this year, aims at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders.
