Saad says Imran Khan must ask for forgiveness from the nation after being caught red handed

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has on Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will have to answer for the luxuries they have enjoyed in the name of party funds. He added that PTI chief Imran Khan must ask for forgiveness after being caught red handed, reported Dunya News.

Saad Rafique said that PTI’s party funding case was being heard even before Panama Case surfaced. He said that Imran Khan hid behind the argument that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) couldn’t hear the case when ECP took up the case. He said that delaying tactics were being used by PTI in this case. If they are not involved in corruption, then they must submit written answer in ECP, he said.

Not ready to let go of his political opponent, Saad Rafique warned Imran Khan against pressurising the institutions for his own ends. “Those ridiculing the institutions for no reason whatsoever are in reality answerable to those very institutions”, he said. The minister said that Imran Khan must practice what he preaches.

“We presented ourselves before the court. Why is Imran Khan running away from courts? It is part of Imran’s politics to hurl baseless accusations at the institutions”, Saad Rafique said.
