Corruption case: Sharjeel Memon submits bail plea in SHC

Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth five billion and 77 crore rupees.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon on Thursday has submitted bail plea in Sindh High Court over corruption charges against him.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth five billion and 77 crore rupees while he had announced to face all the charges.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted a 15-day protective bail to Sharjeel Memon over surety bond of two million rupees.

It is pertinent here to mention here that Sharjeel Memon was detained by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) immediately after his plane coming from Dubai landed at the Islamabad airport.

However, the authorities released him after interrogation.
