Supreme Court suspends SHC decision regarding alcohol ban

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has on Monday suspended Sindh High Court (SHC) decision regarding ban on alcohol in the province, reported Dunya News.

Supreme Court has directed to implement 1979 law and act accordingly. Furthermore, SC has instructed to put the case in front of three-member bench for further proceedings.

Earlier, SHC had ordered to close bars selling alcohol across the province and banned 120 liquor vendors. The court had instructed the authorities to continue shutter down until the formation of proper procedure.
