ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s top diplomat in the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi said that the incumbent government has to take more steps for the empowerment of women in Pakistan.
In a briefing to United Nations 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at UN Headquarters, Maliha Lodhi said that the theme of the conference was to empower women economically.
She said that the main purpose of the event was to promote positive image of Pakistan across the world.
Moreover, Pakistani movie ‘Dukhtar’ was also screened during the ceremony.
