Judicial commission will meet today to discuss the appointment of judges in higher courts, Dunya News reported on Saturday.Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will preside over the meeting, the commission will mull over extending the office term of 51 additional judges of higher courts. The commission will also discuss the scenario of appointment of SHC's chief. In LHC 12 judges have completed their contract period and working on interim order of SC. Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani and Justice Nasirul Mulk will for the first time attend the commission meeting. The seat of retired judge vacated after the passage of 19th Amendment and the Chief Justice will nominate the new name in consultation with four fellow judges.
