Karachi: Target killing claims 13 in 48 hours

The number of those killed in the ongoing wave of targeted killing, within 48 hours, has been reached to 13 in Karachi, Dunya News reported on Thursday. Motorcyclists gunned down 35-year-old Sohail alias Akhri Baloch, a head constable by profession at Qasba Colony, while two persons got injured in the firing. Unknown felons opened fire at a political partys activist Adeel in Malir killing him on the spot whereas a man was killed in indiscriminate firing at Mumar Colony; Syed Umar Shah lost his life in Orangi Town. Two people Shahid Ghani and Wali Hassan were mowed down respectively in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Mochko. An exchange of fire between two rival groups at Mangho Pir claimed life of one Shakir Ali (35). Two tortured bodies have been recovered from Kharadar and Gulshan while at Layari Kalakot a woman was murdered.
