218 Indian fishermen released as goodwill gesture

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least 218 Indian fishermen were released from District Jail Malir as a goodwill gesture, reported Dunya News.
Earlier, as many as 220 fishermen had already been released on December 25.
The smiley faces of the freed fishermen revealed as to how happy they were on the occasion as the official bid them adieu by presenting gifts.
The prison officials professed that the cases of 78 Indian fishermen are under pending while 66 fishermen are on judicial remand.
The released fishermen reached Lahore from Karachi via Train.
All the fishermen will leave for India on January 6 via Wagah border.
