Murad Ali Shah summoned the Inspector General around 20 days ago

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Sources have reported on Monday that AD Khawaja, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police first took a stand against the Government of Sindh when he recruited around 10,000 personnel through NTS test and did not permit ‘quota’ for the MPAs and MNAs.

Reportedly, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh, AD Khawaja, who was sent on forced leave earlier today did not enjoy good terms with the bureaucracy over his hard standing over certain issues.
Recruitment of 10,000 personnel purely over merit was the first incident that produced bad blood between the two sides.

Sources reported that Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah summoned the Inspector General around 20 days ago and let him know that Ghulam Qadir, anti-corruption department chief was to replace him and a notification would be issued soon.

However, the provincial government did not take in confidence the federation over the decision. Apparently, after media reported the matter, the federation intervened and the action was stopped but only for a few days.

As few days down the line, another issue concerning sugar mills owners regarding sugarcane purchase prompted AD Khawaja to take necessary step which allegedly was not liked by ‘Dubai’ following which the Inspector General of Sindh was sent on a forced leave.

Reportedly, Khawaja had told the person he had a difference of opinion with that he did not have an association with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and he was answerable to the federation and not a political party.

The report was presented and talked about in programme, Nuqta-e-Nazar.
