Khurshid Shah demands to sack MD of PIA

Shah accredited former president Asif Ali Zardari for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA), Khurshid Shah has demanded the government on Thursday to sack Managing Director (MD) of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) over PK-661 crash.
Shah said that the opposition wanted to strengthen the parliament but the government itself wanted Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to resign. He claimed that MD of PIA was earning around Rs 7 million per month and not shouldering his responsibilities.
Shah alleged the premier of not giving required significance to the parliament. He said that the four demands put forth by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) aimed at supremacy of the parliament.
The opposition leader also said that the government would have its tenure ended before due time over its shortcomings. The government was itself creating an atmosphere conducive to ‘Go Nawaz Go’, he asserted.
Shah accredited former president Asif Ali Zardari for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a $46 billion foreign investment.
He further said that it was the government of PPP which handed over the administration of Gwadar Port to China from Singapore.
