Shehla Raza receives extortion, death threats

Sindh Assembly's Deputy Speaker was asked pay Rs50 crore extortion.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Shehla Raza, the Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly, has received extortion and death threats via a letter, sources told. 

“Give me 50 core (500 million) rupees, otherwise, I will blow up the Sindh Assembly building and kill you,” states the threatening letter written in Urdu language.

“You will meet the same fate as Benazir Bhutto,” the letter says.

Shehla Raza has informed the Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police and DG Rangers regarding the threat letter.

Meanwhile, DG Rangers has issued order to increase Shehla Raza’s security.

According to sources, the letter signed by Fakhar Abbas Lashari and Imran Lashari along with their mobile numbers was sent to the PPP leader in Karachi from Rawalpindi’s Satellite area.
