Islamabad Police has made special arrangements to facilitate the public meeting of PTI.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A day after Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) called off their Islamabad lockdown, section-144 was lifted across Punjab.

Punjab Home Ministry had imposed section-144 across Punjab from October 30 to November 8 to bar PTI workers’ arrival in Islamabad.

Earlier today PTI was issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the Islamabad administration for their rally in Parade Ground.



An application was submitted by PTI seeking permission for holding the rally.

The party also presented an undertaking assuring that the rally will not exceed the Parade Ground premises.

Islamabad Police has made special arrangements to facilitate the public meeting of PTI.

Five hundred traffic police officials have been deputed for the purpose.

According to traffic plan, the vehicles coming from Peshawar will be given parking space at express highway on right side of zero point and service road of I-8/3 at Jaffar Khan Road.

Besides this, 9th Avenue , Faisal Avenue, Jinnah Avenue and Kashmir Highway could be used to travel between Rawalpindi and Islamabad .

PTI on Tuesday abruptly called off a planned "lockdown" of Islamabad and announced to hold a ‘thanksgiving rally’ instead after the Supreme Court paved the way for an investigation into allegations of corruption against the prime minister’s family.
